This is the only Díaz I’ve read besides Oscar Wao and I am conflicted. He’s a talented writer for sure, but the way he writes about women coupled with the sexual misconduct violations a while back (which MIT cleared him of, to be fair) make me uncomfortable. Women aren’t objects. Men are more than sexual desire. But all this book does is preach the opposite for 213 pages.
