I really wanted to like this collection, but it just didn't work for me.  A lot of the poems felt very surface level and they sort of blended all together.  Sometimes the poems felt rambling or preachy.  Some felt like they might have been a personal essay but instead were just a passing thought.  I appreciate the author being vulnerable, but I think with some experience the execution could improve.
