So Jonathan Van Ness reads the audiobook for this, which meant that I could only picture the main character as Jonathan Van Ness because they have such a unique voice. Which is both a good and bad thing! The voice definitely fits the main character, and helps to bring the overall story to life.
This is a slightly cheesy, sweet story about finding your place and uncovering unknown queer history. It's a lovely little story, even if there are so many pop culture references included throughout. Like, so many. It is poking fun at influencer culture, though, so the references make sense, but I always find that that many pop culture references always pull me out of the story.
All in all, definitely an entertaining read!
