I'm so late on writing this review. I kinda forget about it.

Anyways, Marie Lu killed it once again. She's one of my all time favourite authors; each and every book is just phenomenal.

The setting is one of the highlights of this series. I saw an interview in which Marie Lu talked about her inspiration for the setting... Assassin's Creed II! (Which is one of my fave video games purely due to setting!) The expansion to the other cites was intriguing and I absolutely loved seeing gondolas.

Characters is always a big one for me when it comes to Marie Lu. First my bae, Enzo! I can't even write my thoughts. 1: spoilerly 2: I just can't even. Adelina! OMG! Marie Lu said she got darker. I didn't think it was possible but you did! Adelina's progression was the best of any of the characters. She's such a standout in YA for me. There's definitely no protagonist (of sorts) like her.

My fave new addition from book two is POLITICS! The camps and the tactics taken by Teren. I drew connections to Hitler and the Nazi's and I shuddered with how much this expanded the series.

I absolutely no idea how this will end and what consequences we will face. But if the ending is anything like Champion bring the tissues and bring it on!
