By popular recommendation I brought Carrie along with me on my vacation and I finished this quick read in one day! This was my first ever Stephen King book that I’ve read and sadly I was not too big of a fan (but I have a few others I’m going to give a shot). Carrie was definitely an interesting read, but I could not get past the way the novel was set up without chapters and the switching from perspectives frequently without warning. I also did not find it too scary which I was expecting to but then again the book was written over 40 years ago. I did enjoy the open ended ending though! I am going to try watching the movie soon to see if that helps me appreciate the book more.
