Midnight Sun
by Stephenie Meyer
I fully began this thinking it would be a sorta long hate-read that I could listen to while doing other things. But know... Edward's perspective was apparently the one I never knew I could enjoy. Not only was Edwards's perspective way more interesting, dynamic, and made certain plot points make way more sense... but you could clearly tell that Meyer's writing has become monumentally better. I honestly was surprised by this read. If Meyer hadn't been stuck needing to be faithful to certain plot elements or dialogue due to Twilight... this could have maybe become a 5-star for me. As is, was pleasantly shocked and enjoyed myself. The dynamic between Alice and Edward was also through the roof.
