This is not another teenage horror story. Instead it's a Poe esq ghost story. Cas is a ghost hunter. It's okay if he reminds of you of Sam or Dean of Supernatural fame. I think it fits. Cas is moving to Canada to tackle the ghost known as Anna Dressed in Blood. He knows she's powerful, and he knows she's violent. What he doesn't know is how he will defeat her. Cas is used to being alone. He moves to town with his mother, does his research, kills his ghost, and moves on. But this time is different. Anna is different. Cas will have to learn to make friends and work as a team if he wants to not only demolish evil, but avenge his father's death. I like the style of this book. It's not really scary if you are the teen age the book was written for. Younger audiences could also enjoy the book, but there are a few graphic scenes. But nothing you wouldn't find isn't Hunger Games.
