I guess this book started as the author reconnecting with people from her own youth do the lack of diversity is understandable, but I'd like to have more varied voices instead of all these older people staying the same thing. Although it is interesting to see the difference between how prosperous it felt in the 40s and 50s to the younger people saying it was broadly drugs and sadness but good times within their own family. I also imagine she's beyond the time to collect another volume with younger people, but I'd have liked this to continue on through the years. The Bronx doesn't really get the love it deserves from the outside, it's a place where many of our beloved stars came from and it'd be nice to have some more appreciation for it.
