There is really nothing more to say - except why. But since why is difficult to handle, one must take refuge in how.
exactly. so much why’s and how’s. my head and heart hurt. the entirety of this book was powerful and the ending hit me really hard. i will be thinking about this for a while.
learning this was toni morrison’s debut novel makes the message even more profound. it was also the first book of hers i read which has made me more interested her later works.
