The Good
I am shocked how much I enjoyed this book. The world-building, the characters, and the romance was great. I usually don't like "insta-love" books but Dixon works hard for readers to understand why each of the like each other and they have fun/cute moments together. I also think Dixon's funny tone and dialogue gave this book a lot of personality which made it a delight. I'm not a "spicy" book person so I liked that there wasn't a gratuitous amount of sex scenes and there was an actual plot with stakes.


The Bad
There isn't anything majorly bad with this book but I wish there was more conflict. However, I understand that this is a entire series and more of the overarching story will be told later. I think the only mark it missed was throughly making me feel something other than pleasant enjoyment.
