I devoured this book within a span of two days! It got me hooked from the first page and the ridiculous plot and storyline swept me! This book definitely surprised me because of how much I ended up liking it. Without any critical thing to say, because honestly, this was a cozy read for me as it felt GREAT to be in a world where your Aunties had your back, no questions asked. The many times the Aunties and Ma affirmed the MC that it was not her fault, that consent can be taken at anytime, and that it was the guy who chose to want to hurt her. Oh, it's definitely a book that will you have to suspend any belief you have for you to enjoy it truly but it was engaging from start to finish! It definitely captured a unique aspect of a Southeast Asian family dynamic wonderfully! 

Definitely excited for the Netflix movie adaptation. I got recommended this book by Kenya (As Told By Kenya) on youtube because she casually mentioned how much she loved the utter chaos and comedic dialogues between the family. 100% agree! This book had everything - romance, murder mystery, theft, best friend to lovers betrayal, coming of age, sapphic representation, scamming the police system, the shitty billionaire that gets exposed for being shitty.
