This was my first book from Willow Winters. And it wasn't a great introduction, perhaps I should have picked up one of her full-fledged books instead.

Now, I'm no stranger to novellas. I've read my fair share of novellas and when done well, it can be a great short read. This, however, was very poorly executed. Everything, from the plot to the characters to the friendship to the romance, felt disconnected, disjointed and contrived. It felt like an incredibly jerky ride on a highway traffic jam. 

I may pick up another book from this author in the near future and I truly hope this book is not an accurate reflection of her writing and the next one will be better. Cheers.
