Margot lives for lists so here are my favorite things about The Education of Margot Sanchez

1. The exploration of assimilation as a tool to rise in society. Also, the internal struggle that comes with this.
2. The gentrification of “bad” neighborhoods.
3. Colorism in poc communities.
4. Latinx representation with a female lead that is relatable to a Latina experience (I really related to Margot’s struggle to fit in).
5. The importance of relationships and building ones with trust and loyalty (i.e. Elizabeth).
6. Fighting machismo stereotypes.
7. The complexity of familial relationships.
8. Moments of clarity and revelation.
