Damn okay, props to Gilliland for taking a character I thought I disliked and turning her into one of my favorites! I'm glad she wrote Teal's story, because this completely changed how I viewed her. This girl has gone through so much shit and Carter just loves her so tenderly (helloooo new book boyfriend??).
Much like the previous book, this story shines through character relationships not only between the love interests, but sisters and family as well. It also features an enjoyable use of the friends-to-lovers and fake marriage trope!
