So Let Them Burn
by Kamilah Cole
This was such an interesting and enjoyable read! I really enjoyed the parallels to Jamaican history once I realized that was the intention (I went into it thinking the story would be veryyyy loosely based on Jamaican folklore but it’s a lot more than that).
I enjoyed the development of Faron and Elara’s sisterly bond as well and their own stories as well! The double enemies to lovers was also a veryyyy sweet lil treat in there! I especially loved the dragon mind connection - felt very reminiscent of Fourth Wing but a little more fleshed out!
The story definitely felt a bit disjointed at times and there were a few twists at the end I could’ve done without, but overall I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend if you enjoy dragons, a unique world and magic system, and sibling love!
