Anyway, I'm in pain. This finale was phenomenal, filled with twists and turns and lots of pain.

So now that I've had some time to reflect, I lowered my rating.
Don't get me wrong, the last 100-150 pages killed me.
but the rest of the book kind of dragged.
And there was really no resolution except for the war being over.
I didnt get any of the reconciliations I wanted. (We don't talk about how mad I am about their dad. WE DON'T.) No one talked to resolve problems. Tamlin's arc seemed unnecessary. It was just a ploy to add tension because he's bitter AF.
I know there's another 3 book arc coming that will probably deal with those characters. But some of these things could've been resolved so easily.

There is also the problem of rep. Like, she tried. But not very hard. She tried to define darker skin colors and it was awkward. She tried to add LGBT rep but it was mostly bi sexuals having sex with anyone. She really needs to do some more research regarding rep.

Overall this book was awkward. It was not everything I wanted it to be. There wasn't enough tension anywhere and it was almost wrapped up with a too pretty bow.
