⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️— The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne

Ctrip Avery was born to a 16 year old who was kicked out of her home and town. Adopted by the Avery family, Cyril is constantly reminded he is not a real Avery. From childhood to death, we get a look at what Cyril’s life becomes— each section skipping 7 years. We are with Cyril through the good, bad, and ugly. We are there when he finds love, loses love and finds peace.

What I Loved: The writing was absolutely remarkable. Boyne can tell you a story that will make you feel all the feels and this book certainly did. There was not a character out of place or one that was not important to the life of Cyril. The time jumping really did it for me because it allowed us to not only see Cyril at different stages of his life, but the world. If you have been questioning whether to pick this book up, please just do!

What I Didn’t Love: Me waiting so long to pick this book up. Wtf is wrong with me?
