Moonshot by Alessandra Torre
4.0

ARC received for an honest review

I wasn't really sure what to expect with Moonshot. But it is an Alessandra Torre, and she has never done me wrong yet.

I am the most unathletic, unfit person I know, but I do love a sports romance. I have never played baseball, never watched it, but I LOVE to read about it.

The story started out with the characters being a lot younger than I was expecting - not sure why, but I was surprised that Ty was only 17 when it all started. Not that this affected my enjoyment at all.

And Chase... he just has exudes that bad boy vibe.

They are so wrong but so right for each other, and it is fascinating watching them circle each other.

There is so much more between them than just sexual attraction and tension. Their pasts have kind of defined them for a while (maybe not to anyone else but to themselves) and seeing them grow and move on from this was wonderful.

There was a suspensey story running in the background that I felt was a little redundant. It didnt' detract from things, but it didn't really add to the story that was Ty and Chase, didn't really affect where their characters went in life. This might just be me though.

I wanted to shake some sense in to our lovelies at times, tell them to communicate dammit!

Moonshot is a heartwarming but at times heartbreaking story of first love, true love.

"First loves were supposed to be flimsy and temperamental. They were supposed to burn bright and fade fast. They weren't supposed to stick. They weren't supposed to eat away at a man's heart, his capacity for life."

I couldn't wait to turn each page to see what would happen next. And now it is over, I can't wait to see what Ms Torre brings us next.
