The Fiancée Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur
4.5

The last hour of reading felt like balls to the walls wild, in the best kind of way. Very unexpected, I was riveted.

I enjoyed a lot of things about this book, and one of them is that Gemma is overtly sexual and flirty in a way that most women aren’t written to be, in sapphic romances. It’s quite common for men in romances to be overt in their flirting or innuendo, but I actually don’t think I’ve seen this before from a woman, and I am a fan!

I also enjoyed that there were no issues with either Tansy or Gemma being queer, it was never a plot point from any character to be hateful or disapproving of that, which is pleasant to see (yes this is the bare minimum but it doesn’t happen in most books!)

Terrible cover, though. It’s stiff/awkward, I was almost put off from reading it but I like the author’s work so I overcame it and I am glad!
