Pride's Run by Cat Kalen
5.0

I have not had much experience with wolf/shifter books. I'm not really sure, but I have always been hesitant of them in the past. Pride's Run is my first experience where a wolf is the main focus. And I have to say that I really enjoyed it!

Pride starts out almost broken, but not in the way her master wants. She doesn't know how to trust anyone and she has no social skills at all. I felt so bad for her, she couldn't even accept friendship when it was presented to her. I wanted to see some character growth for her so badly! And it does come, but it is slow. She does not change overnight. She is very much a wolf. But slowly you can see her putting more faith and trust in the hands of Logan.

Logan is so great. He is patient with Pride and you can see how much he truly likes her. He sees how unique she is and I loved how easily and fiercely he protected her. I can't wait to see more of him in the next book. As much as I enjoyed Pride's Run, I think I am going to LOVE the second book even more! The way everything is set up at the end of this story tells me the next book is going to be awesome! There will be two wolves vying for Pride's affection, a whole lot of battles and hopefully a whole lot more Logan!

Pride's Run is wonderfully written. You just get caught up in the writing and the story and you just kind of run along side of it. I lost myself in this book. One second I was casually reading and the next a few hours had passed by and I didn't even notice. Cat's writing kind of sneaks up on you and then before you know it, you are totally hooked. I would definitely recommend this book.
