Once again Ali Hazelwood seems to baffle us with a quirky yet intelligent MC who takes nothing lying down. I was SO EXCITED for this book and I'm so happy I was given the chance to read it early! This gave me everything I wanted and then some. You could definitely walk into this thinking it'll be heavy on the romance but the fantasy world building was JUST as sweet if not even better. The modern age mixed with such gothic tales is such a beautiful little setting. Misery stays in the real world with her friend after living the life of someone from the Vampyre world. But we're hit with such a fun and unique marriage of convenience, banter, forbidden romance, and heroin-esq story. I really enjoyed the political mystery that takes a heavy forefront at certain parts, it added to the depth and intrigue. You NEEEEEEED to give this a try immediatly.
