Loved the characters and their dynamics but the pacing and grammar were a bit all over the place at times. It felt like there were massive chunks of the plot missing or glossed over as something that happened off page which left me very unsatisfied and knocked my rating down. 
I also didn’t realise that this book was set in a pre-established world which left me very confused at times since nothing was really explained at the time.
