This had me laughing out loud and then biting my nails as the villains did bad villain things. Enders has endured an horrendous life that causes him untold nightmares. Fortunately he has the delightful young Rylee to help keep him together. It’s a life that means no one truly understands him until Mads enters his orbit and refuses to leave. The very charming Mads is not what he seems and I loved watching the layers get peeled back and his true capabilities revealed just at the time they were needed. Although his flirting game is definitely in need of some fine tuning! Ender, Mads and the VRC family from previous books all come together to fight a truly evil being who has played a very very long game to get what he wants. 

I loved that we finally learn why Ender is like he is and get to watch he slowly begin to grow into a much better person with Mads and Rylee beside him. There’s also a deeply emotional moment for Claude and his hair, Finn being his usual self, Mads and his special “soup” and of course a very satisfying hard earned HEA for Ender and Mads.
