Well, and here I thought that the dynamic duo was starting to lose its edge. I liked Bad Weekend, but I thought it wasn’t as good as the rest of the Criminal series or The Fade Out or Kill or be Killed. So I figured, maybe they’re running out of gas. Maybe Brubaker and Phillips cannot maintain this extraordinary level of quality forever.

Boy, was I wrong.

Pulp is a superb book. Everything works, the story, the pace, the art, the colours. It is just fantastic.

I won’t talk about the story, I don’t want to spoil even a tiny part of it. Just go to your local comic book shop and buy this book.
