I really enjoyed the first book in this Say Everything contemp romance series by Loren but I think I enjoyed this one even more! This one was racier than the first, at least according to my memory, but I read the first one when I was on a real romance kick so I could be mis-remembering. This story is about Hollyn's friend Andi from the first book. She is a horror book writer and true crime podcast creator. She really leans into the "what can we learn from this" angle since she has her own traumatic relationship with someone who turned out to be a murderer, which she hasn't told anyone about. She moves into a duplex and meets her neighbor, hot retired fireman Hill who is dealing with his own PTSD because of the on the job injury that removed him from the profession before he even turned 30 and left him disabled. They strike up a friendship and decide to be friends with benefits to help each other through their first sexual experiences since their respective traumas but, as expected in an FWB situation, feelings start to appear. I enjoyed their dynamic and am looking forward to the third book but don't know when it is coming out yet!
