The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict, Victoria Christopher Murray
5.0

As someone who grew up adoring the 'Royal Diaries' franchise in my younger years, I very much enjoyed everything about this book. There was a potential for the pacing to drag along, but each chapter was filled with so much rich history on an overall scale that I was entranced from beginning to end. While I'm aware that this is a work of fiction, I still think that it's a very important book to be read and is definitely one that I will be recommending in regard to the untold (or lesser told) histories of influential African Americans (and even more so African American women). I'm looking forward to learning more about the life of Belle Da Costa Greene.
