I listened to the audiobook and that might be the reason why I didn’t enjoy it as much or maybe it just didn’t turn out to be as ‘magnifique’ as I had wanted it to be.

It’s a decent predictable story with one major twist that I didn’t see coming. A good entry into fantasy literature.
