This book was gripping! And creepy. And dark. And all those good things. I really loved the character of Joe. He was gritty and flawed and I enjoyed the flashbacks to 1992. I was so invested in the whole story. The creepiness of the pit was intense and it felt like I was there. C.J. Tudor is definitely an auto buy author for me and I'm making my way through her back list.
