A Remarkable Rogue by Anna Harrington
4.0

I love this series by Anna Harrington and I recommend it to everyone. If you haven't started it, don't pick this one up yet as I don't want you to miss out on anything. DO go back to book one (or wherever you left off) and read all the way through this book.

Harrington did a great job building out the Sydney as a character. It's obvious early on that there is something pushing her to do the things she has been doing but it's also clear, she isn't happy with it. Sydney is essentially putting her life on the line when she is blackmailed / threatened with the one thing she cares about most, her son, and she will do anything to keep him safe.

Nathaniel Reed has learned about Sydney's involvement and is assigned to find out what he can as well as stop her but he quickly learns that Sydney is innocent. He also quickly finds himself attracted to her like no other but he is determined to keep her at arm's length no matter what. When things take a turn and Sydney asks for his help, he finds himself coming to her aid and they realize they can't fight the attraction they have for one another.

I thought Harrington has done a fantastic job of weaving the Scepter storyline throughout all of the books and I love the mystery aspect to these stories. This one kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen for our main characters as well as what more we were going to find out about Scepter and I wasn't disappointed in either storyline.

If you're looking for a new historical romance, I definitely recommend picking up this series / book and I can't wait to read more from Anna Harrington.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.
