This book surprisingly took me a minute to get into, but afterwards I completely fell in love with it. It is a wonderful story about finding your own identity, the messiness of love and how human it is to make mistakes and unintentionally hurt people along the way sometimes. The latter was also dealt with in a realistic way, the consequences for each characters actions made sense.
The characters felt real and I just know that I would've had the biggest fictional crush on either Felix or Ezra or maybe even both of them if I had read this as a teenager. They are great <3
As expected this book also opens up a lot of nuanced conversations around intersectional identities and different forms of privilege, which I really enjoyed.
I'm happy I finally read this, it proved to be exactly what everyone on the internet told me it was for the past few years.
