Wow this book was so poetic, it felt like a modern fairytale. It is also so pretty with the illustrations.
I am glad I got to learn about the history elements, especially about Puerto Rico. I loved that the author left so much untranslated Spanish in the book, it felt very real and true to Benigno's identity.

“Río," I whispered, out of breath, and not from wheezing. "You make me feel like I'm kissing the tides." "Benigno," he whispered back. "You make me feel like I am holding the moon.”
