chokinghalos 's review for:
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
by Becky Albertalli
I was expecting this book to be great and it did not disappoint me. I read this in one day because of how entertaining and addictive it is. I have to give kudos to the author for how the whole coming out deal it is for teens, but also for giving the reader the queer joy of everything turning out to be okay even if there are obstacles and the homophobia queer folks have to deal with in their day-to-day life.
I love the subtle details in it and how Simon is not just gay, he's a person, too, with hobbies and a very specific type of music that he likes, as well as every character in the book, there isn't only one thing the book revolves around, there are many things that come together in the end that make the book amazing.
