The Prince's Bride is the second book in the adult contemporary romance series, Modern Fairytales, by Diane Alberts. The books in this series are not related at all, from what I can tell, and can each be read as complete standalones. The Prince's Bride felt like part second chance love, and part The Princess Diaries movie. (the second one where she has to get married.) I really enjoyed this book. It is like a modern fairytale.

The Prince's Bride is told in dual narrative between Leo and Alicia. I liked the twist of the second chance love between these two. They really were teenage sweethearts, except she has no idea he was a prince then. They go their separate ways and don't see each other again for another 10 years. It all seems like happenstance that they find one another again, but all of that is explained in the book. I really, really liked Leo. Alicia was a little bit of a block head. I loved her, but sheesh is the girl stubborn. I got it at first. but come on....She has got to give a little. Leo is very determined, and I loved that about him. I wanted him to let go of his stoic exterior a little bit more though, because the readers gets to see inside his head, and he is nothing like the emotionless exterior that he presents to the world. He is so kind and heartfelt and genuine that you just want to hug him. My heart broke for him in this story.

Bottom line: The Prince's Bride is a fun feel good read. I really enjoyed this one. I don't typically read many prince/millionaire/billionaire books, but this one was perfect for me because I love a second chance love story. And I loved how genuine Leo was, and how spunky Alicia was. If you are a fan of fairytales or of second chance love stories, you will enjoy The Prince's Bride. I know I did.
