This is a very different book in Mike Salt's catalog, but it is a worthy entry. The entire premise of the book is wrong and unsettling. I hesitate to say too much here, because I feel like you should really let the book surprise you. I didn't find Gabe to be a very sympathetic character, but that didn't make the story less enjoyable for me. Gabe is a trainwreck you can't look away from. 4.25 stars
