Necromancer FMC follows her sister into a demon run haunted house/torture competition. With the promise of a wish granted by the demon who runs it for the last person standing at it's end, her sister is hoping to save their home from the bank.

With death and gore at every turn and learning her newfound necromancer magic on the fly, Ophelia enlists the help of a sexy ghost.

It's a different take on the dark romance smut books about and all the better for that. If anything though, the plot was a side point in Phantasma. The smut was on point.

This said, certain things in the story felt very rushed and the reveals were crammed in and not explained for a swift ending. Certain plot points were completely forgotten about where they needed to be explored but I'm hoping these will be explained in the next book (which is about the FMC's sister). The OCD descriptions are definitely uncomfortable for those who might be triggered by them.

Would I read it again? Most definitely.
