Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson

slow-paced

5.0

I learned so much from this book. It’s educational without being too dry and/or boring. Despite this being nonfiction I was able to listen to it at 1.5 and 1.75 speed and understand and retain most of it. I want to do a physical reread to really cement it in my brain. Wilkerson includes multiple anecdotes and real life stories to help illustrate her points. I encourage readers to read the epilogue and the afterward because they are chock full of info. I recommend this to everyone who wants to be a better version of themselves, especially folks from dominant sectors of their society
