As soon as I finished The Fellowship of the Ring, my first thought was: I waited too long to read this. I loved the book as much as I loved The Hobbit, if not liking Frodo more than Bilbo. It was one of those stories that came alive as I dived through it in days, as I was unable to put it down. I would recommend not to read the sections with Gollum sneaking up on Frodo, or the Balrog attacking Gandalf on a dark afternoon in silence though, which were short-sighted mistakes on my part. Altogether a masterpiece of the fantasy genre, riddled with witty humor.
