Sawyer & Fin: Adventurous Hearts Series Book 1 by Zeia Jameson

5 Stars

Fin is doing everything she can to get the small town she lives in to forgive her for the past and also to protect her sister and make sure she doesn't follow in her footsteps. She has a very supportive family, and a supportive roommate? She is head coach of the girls high school softball team, a sport she played in while attending the same school, and had hopes of making it a career, she also teaches at the local dojo, hoping to prove to the town that she is committed to helping others. She delivers cupcakes to the firehouse every week, helps walk the Dr’s dogs, helps weed gardens and basically lives her life being as helpful and responsible as she can. The tragedy that occurred 2 years ago haunts her daily and she is doing all she can to make up for it.

Sawyer, in town and under the protection of his detective uncle. He was forced to leave home after accidentally making a very bad decision. Now he has to lay low, follow the rules and do his best to stay alive. He basically moves into the fire station in town and becomes the guys personal chef. Being the new guy in town he pretty much has to put up with the many pranks that are pulled on from the guys and little by little he becomes one of them.

When Sawyer and Fin meet their connection is instant but neither of them will act on it. They both have their pasts ruling their lives and have no intentions on sharing what is going on. Little by little the more they spend time together they realize they are each everything the other wants for their future. The problem is they are each being so careful in their lives which makes having fun kind of hard. Can these two get past their pasts and learn to trust each other and when the temptation for adventure gets too strong can they make it through all that that might entail? When Sawyer's past catches up to him, he does what he has to do to stay alive, even if that means walking away.

I loved this book, I loved the characters and the town, and the storyline was amazing. I loved the interaction of all the guys at the fire station, I loved the sassy sparring between Sawyer and Fin, I loved her parents, I just loved everything about this book. I can't wait to check out the rest of this authors books, she is amazing!!
