She Lies in Wait
by Gytha Lodge
I really enjoyed this police procedural that investigated the cold case of 14 year old Aurora Jackson who went camping in the summer of 1983 and never came home.
This book reminded me of All the Missing Girls but, for me, was so much better, the story was cohesive and kept you guessing, revealing snippets of information about different characters along side chapters set in the past to show what had happened.
This is not a fast paced thriller, it is so much better! It is methodical, clearly thought out and detailed, it slowly walks you through the unravelling of clues and characters. I loved the writing an it still had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know who had done it.
I cant wait to see what the characters are up against in the next book in the series.
