you know genuinely i can't tell if i disliked this because of my undying love of the Anne books or if that same love was the only thing that got me through it and I disliked it for... everything else (I do kind of feel like if I hadn't had all that backstory to go on with Anne and Gil this would have been a pretty chemistry-less boring book) but either way this was nooooooot for me
