Wow…. This book is an entire rollercoaster! It reminds me a little of Nalini Singh’s A Touch of Darkness in all the best ways. Nicolette left home in the middle of the night ten years ago after her best friend mysteriously disappeared. Soon after her return, another girl goes missing in the same way.

I LOVED this book!! It’s easily a 4.5/5 star read for me. Not a full 5 stars because it just gets a little too complicated sometimes. There’s a lot of characters to keep track of and the book moves backwards in time, then snaps back to the present day, but there’s also flashbacks of memories thrown in, too. It adds to the confusion and intensity, but sometimes I would read a chapter and just have no clue what I read about. It does eventually all iron itself out surprisingly well, though. The surprising end actually makes sense, but I absolutely didn’t see it coming.

After finishing the book, I just want to hug all the characters. All of them (well, at least the ones that are still alive…) are incredibly written and felt so real to me that I felt like I was a part of the group.
