For the first half of this book, I was hopeful it would turn out to be a four star read. The plot was interesting, the writing quite gripping, and I loved the use of Egyptian mythology. However as the book went on I was a bit disappointed. The romance felt flat, the platonic relationships needed more work, and the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying. Overall I did enjoy the book but am probably unlikely to ever want to reread it.
