The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
4.0

Mr. Saenz has a remarkable way of saying so much with so little. I went into this book thinking that it was a very oddly structured. They were more choppy and direct than with Aristotle and Dante, which I think flowed a bit better. But the structure in no way effected the impact it had on me.

Similar to his first book, the story is gripping, emotional, and relatable. I like how even though a romance between Sal and Sam would have been so easy, Saenz decides to keep them strictly friends. Yes! We need more close friendships that don't develop into a relationship out of nowhere.

The plot kind of meanders, going from one thing to another, which isn't a problem. I'm all for more laid back stories that don't have a defined antagonist.

I can't wait to see what this author has in store next.
