3.5 I did appreciate the characters and their relationships. Especially Pepper and OWL. The found family element is what I came for and... it was okay.
The problem here is I'm obviously going to compare it to The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet where we got the same kind of things, but
1. For the first time. And
2. Better.
The lack of plot (again, it's a good character-driven story) was forgivable as I was listening to the audiobook but I'm sure it would have taken me ages to get through it if I were reading the physical copy.
