Review

Don't you just hate it when you go to a house party, have a few too many and fall asleep in the tub, only to wake up in the morning and find everyone dead?

That happened to me only last week so this book was like deja vu to me!

I'm kidding obviously, I don't want bounty vampire hunters knocking at my door, I'm not infected or anything......

But the thing is, I could be in this book, and you wouldn't really know, well not for a while anyway until 88 days later or well you know, I ate you!

So anyway, after waking up at the party and finding everyone dead, what do you do? Well, what you don't do is have a little search around the house and rescue an infected boy and an actual vampire sheesh!

Oh, hang on, that's EXACTLY what she did, she being Tana the protagonist in this book.

So Tana, Aiden (who is just cold, not a fully fledged vamp yet) And Gavriel who is a 'I want to suck your blood' kinda guy just hop off in the car and decide to pop off to a little place called Coldtown... as you do.

Arghhh this book had me shouting to myself while listening to it, even the twins Midnight and Winter !!!!

At least Bella although a bit dim was sort of naive to the world, and went in tentatively, not Tana OH NO........ I know that you may rip my throat out at any minute, and hey you have tried a few times already, but, you used to be my ex boyfriend, and even though you were a scum bag I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and come along for the ride !!! Dumb bitch !

For most of it I couldn't give a shit whether she lived or died to be honest. The book would have been a lot shorter if her mum had just polished her off at the beginning when she was locked up in the cellar.

After a while it turned into an episode of Big Brother!
For all of the UK readers it was like (Brummy accent)
"Day 4 in the Big Brother house - Lucian has hung up cold ones on the wall and is using them to quench his thirst"

The writing is lovely and the explanations are well written but it is slightly yawn, after a while, I was waiting for it to get going ...........................still waiting !
