Honey Girl

SAPPHIC BOOK BINGO 2022: NEWBIE AUTHOR
I had heard great things about this book, so I was eager to read it. I love that it’s queer and stars a black female astronomer. I love that we eventually dive into Grace’s depression and anxiety because it’s not something that’s usually found in novels.
All that being said, I found the pacing to be really slow-moving. I often found myself putting in a lot of effort to understand what’s going on because my mind would drift off. It just didn’t hold my attention.
