I am so so glad I read this book, especially the audiobook read by Sissy Spacek. This is definitely has become one of my favourite books!
It was filled with stories about countrymen, the innocence of children, the sins of adults, racism in small towns even back in the days, standing up to what is right, and even the suspense. Since it is set in Alabama the narrator Sissy Spacek's Texas accent made the listening ten times enjoyable! One of my favourite books! One of my favourite audiobooks!
