Despite the fact that major portion of this book was a boring lesson in history and contributed almost nothing to the story, I still think this book was worth it. It has got unique plot, great characters, intricated and complex world that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

I loved how progressively the predicament of our main character was built until it died down with a dissappointing final act. It wasn't all that bad but it was rushed, in my opnion. If the author had taken more time in developing the ending like she did in writing the historical parts of the book that served no greater purpose, I would have appreciated the book more.

Anyway, I still think it's a great sci-fi book and worth checking out
