Despite being a fan of space opera I've never read it in graphic novel form before and this felt like a good place to start. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The plot and world building are interesting, with twists I didn't see coming, and it felt suitably epic in scope. That said, so much of it was setup that in a way I suppose I liked the potential of the story more than what I actually read on the page. 

I'll be interested to read volume two.
