NA ReviewMy Thoughts

Being Brooke is a hilarious New Adult romantic comedy by Emma Hart. I loved this book. It completely cracked me up, and put me in a great mood. Brooke is hilarious. She is quite the character, and she can certainly dish it out...to everyone, including her best friend Cain. Unfortunately she can't follow her own Life Tip #1, "Don't fall in love with your best friend." Which is great for me, because I happen to love best friends romances. And Being Brooke is probably the best romantic comedy I have read all year. It was certainly one of the funniest books I have read all year. If you like Romantic comedies you have to check this one out.

Brooke totally cracked me up from the first page to the last page. I couldn't get enough of her. I loved listening to her inner dialogues and I really loved her interactions with Cain. They were both hilarious and sweet. I am such a sucker for a friends turned romance story. It just melts my heart every time. And if you can add humor and banter, well, then you really will make me fal lin love. I'm keeping this review short because I dpon't want to be too gushy. (it was actually about 3 paragraphs longer, but when I was re-reading it I realized I was just either repeating myself over and over again or writing down lines that cracked me up. So I decided to take all that out, and leave it at my final takeaway...)

Bottom line: If you like romantic comedies, you need to read Being Brooke. Like yesterday. The romance is great and the writing and characters will have your jaw hurting from all the laughing. This book literally made me laugh out loud. And that is a winner in my book. It is one of my favorite romantic comedies of 2016.
